Chief Marketing Officer | Technology Brightwater Executive have been retained to appoint a Chief Marketing Officer for a leading technology organization. This highly visible Chief Marketing Officer role will lead out all commercial and corporate marketing efforts, while working hand-in-hand with the Senior Leadership Team. Charged with the task to design and create the right message, in the right place, for the right audience, at the right time, while making the best use of the organisations resources and budgets. Responsibilities • Develop, coordinate, manage all aspects of Marketing for all client portfolios and internal organisation strategy. • Work in partnership with the CEO, existing C-Suite team and marketing personnel in establishing their brand strategy, vision and direction. • Devise, set and communicate the marketing strategy specific to the organisations target growth area. • Lead the strategic development of marketing plans, and support the development of marketing tactics, that drive traffic, sales, and brand awareness throughout all channels (trade, online, social media, advertising, PR) • Manage all online presence and media, including third party e-commerce vendors. • Tailor marketing plans to meet sales channel needs, projects and revenue targets. • Be the brand champion on the team understanding and communicating priorities, changes and ensuring all customer touch-points don’t stray from core guidelines. • Be responsible for cross-organizational teams, develop marketing projects, track progress, identify issues and develop solutions prior to deployment of marketing messages. • Continuously research trends to positively impact the marketing message • Ensure team is motivated, clear on vision/goals and their role in achieving these, and effectively executing and delivering results • Work collaboratively with multiple internal and external business partners • Serve as a guiding force behind aligning marketing functions into an organizational structure that can adapt to new/emerging marketing techniques Key Qualifications • 10+ years’ experience in a Head of Marketing role; previous experience in the SME and technology sectors. • Experience abroad a plus too. • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising. MBA preferred • Substantial brand marketing experience within a corporate tech environment • Ability to speak directly to market, driving campaigns and lead generation • Must have demonstrative experience managing online, social media, and third party e-commerce. • Experience managing a complex network of influencers to meet core objectives • Highly organized, creative and positive motivational leader. Critical Qualifications • Leadership – Ability to identify strategic needs, with little or no direction, resource key projects, and lead team based on brand vision. • Problem solving – Strong conceptual problem solving skills and business judgment. A proven track record of creativity and execution, • Strategic– Ability to connect the dots, where others cannot, and create sustainable and impactful ideas and opportunities. Ability to solve old and new problems in new ways and gain internal alignment from the top down • Communication – Clear, concise, compelling, honest, and two-way; able to strongly influence decision-makers, based on a commitment to the “consumer voice.” Excellent interpersonal skills with strong teamwork orientation and proficiency and relationship-building with senior executives is required. • Execution Excellence – Proven history of translating strategies, concepts and complex ideas into programs that are executed precisely, on-time, and on-budget.
