Head of Group Finance Job - Salary €100,000 - €110,000 + Bonus A great opportunity for an experienced, strategic finance professional to join this privately owned SME that has an impressive track record across their diversified portfolio of business interests. The Head of Group Finance will report directly in to the CEO, providing a critical buffer, support and be a healthy challenger to their growth strategy, providing a robust consolidated overview of their financial performance for Group and developing meaningful MI insights to support medium to long terms strategic decision for the group. Based in Co .Wexford, this opportunity will attract someone from the South East of someone keen to relocate for the right long term career move.

The Role:

• Lead the finance teams across their various business interests to ensure clarity and accuracy of financial information. • Ensure clear and concise communications against individual entity group financial reports and positions around cash flow management, along with variance analyses against budgeting & forecasts reports. • Collate and present financial analysis for business cases for new business initiatives, build ROI models and performance monitoring processes. • Working alongside their external tax adviser to ensure a good understanding of current and future tax business implications (against capital acquisition taxes and exit strategies) • Review and monitor group annual budget and quarterly reviews. • Prepare and finalize group year-end financial statements, ensuring the auditor is provided with all the necessary information required to complete the annual audit. • Develop and enhance financial policies, management information packs, KPI reports, procedures and controls for all business divisions / entities • Review and implement enhanced group financial control procedures and policies. • Manage and develop an experienced finance team, encouraging and empowering an environment of continuous learning and improvement • Develop a more commercial, pro-active finance business partnering culture to support the respective senior management teams of each business entity across the group. • Manage the banking relationships across existing and new lending facilities, cashflow management reports etc. • Ensure a continued culture of strong cost control and visibility throughout the business. • Adopt a multi-dimensional perspective when supporting the CEO on key investment decisions

The ideal candidate profile:

• Pragmatic, humble, hard working with a great energy and a naturally strong communicator. • A people’s person with highly developed interpersonal skills. • Ideally 10 + years PQE (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA). • Strong track record operating at a senior finance level within a service based industry – e.g hotel, construction, manufacturing, real estate / property development and manufacturing • Experience in working with organisation that have scaled in T/O and EBITA. Ideal experience in managing T/O of €20million + • Self- starter, ambitious and entrepreneurial. • A confident, result orientated, fair and straight-talking leader that leads by example and can multi-task and prioritise well. • Strong in building effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally. • Adept ability to translate complex financial information into meaningful, easy to follow and easy to use data to support financial and commercial decisions.
