PURPOSE
The incumbent will hold a position within the Fund Accounting team with overarching responsibility for the quality of client service to our clients encompassing Accuracy, Timeliness and Responsiveness. The Fund Accounting group is responsible for the production of: • Providing SME knowledge and technical support to internal and external stakeholders • Working with Fund Accounting and Client Change and Onboarding to transition new clients or existing clients on systems • Production and dissemination of core reports • Ensure all deadlines and Service Level Agreements (SLA) are met • Partcipate in client reviews and service calls where required • Accurate Performance fee calculations for shareholder level & series of shares • Ad Hoc Client reports • Assist and resolve technical queries • Provide key metrics to senior management This is done with a high level of quality & client mindset. While maintaining good internal control, ensuring that the day-to-day’s operations are efficient.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Operational Effectiveness • Ensure the accuracy, timeliness and completeness of all processes. • Promote continuous improvement that assesses workflow, processes and procedures on an ongoing basis, ensuring maximum efficiency and quality within the team. • Continuously identify opportunities to enhance our service and value proposition for our clients. • Oversee projects within the Fund Accounting strategy that deliver operational efficiencies and quality • Ensure adherence to the operating procedures and control. • Implement actions in the course of new client, new fund launch, conversion, termination or merger. • Minimize processing errors and financial losses Risk Management • Follow company internal policy and procedures • Aim to achieve at least satisfactory results • in all internal & external audits. • Identify procedural gaps and work with the management team to develop appropriate controls and procedures to address the gaps • Strong Risk Awareness ethic – driving operational risk mitigation into our daily processes Client Service, Sales and Relationship management support • Accountable for ongoing satisfaction of clients by ensuring deliverables meet client needs and expectations. • Work to deliver service excellence to clients • Supports Sales & Marketing by providing operational expertise in Fund Accounting (e.g. for RFP’s, due diligence, deal review) • Participate in client service and sales opportunities. • Assist in lending expertise in the new client on-boarding, migrations and liquidations process AUTHORITIES, IMPACT, RISK • Key point of contact for strategic client and client associates. • Adherence to agreed deadlines, accuracy of processing and interpretation of client requests and instructions. These are all crucial in managing risk. • Senior member of the Department Management Team, with an ability to act as a decision maker without management support, although ensuring that to do so acts within agreed policy. • Represent the department during Client, Group, internal and potential Client meetings.
Essential
