Lending Credit Manager

Principle Accountabilities
The role will include and is not limited to: • Taking the lead in managing & negotiating the credit risk profile of the company’s On-Lending new and existing relationships within agreed timescales and in accordance with relevant policy and procedures. • Conducting an analysis and due diligence of new On-Lender business plans. • Preparing detailed credit underwriting assessment of new & existing On-Lenders in preparation for presentation to the Senior Management team, Credit Committee and Board as required. • Manging the ongoing operational requirements of existing On Lenders as well as ensuring a smooth set up of new On Lenders. • Assist in the development and implementation of robust credit policies, procedures and processes to distribute the company’s products through its On-Lending Partners. • Participate in the development of the Lending model for the company. • Build and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders. • Assist in the development of Lending Team members with specific responsibility for the two team members, in addition to wider team members of the Lending Team. • Help to co-ordinate the development/improvement of Lending processes and procedures ensuring effective identification and management of risks. • Taking the lead for Lending in cross function projects as required.

Experience/Skills
• 7 years’ relevant experience working in a similar environment, Corporate or Business Banking would be an advantage • Third level qualification with credit, banking or equivalent experience would be an advantage • Strong planning, organisational and time management skills with a proven track record of developing and implementing effective processes and controls on time • Detailed understanding of SME Lending products and landscape • Strong communication and interpersonal skills which are focused on the achievement of the company’s objectives • Proven track record of operating in a changing/demanding environment with ability to manage multiple assignments to a consistently high standard • Ability to demonstrate sound commercial judgement and market awareness • An ability to work effectively in a team and act as a guidance for colleagues • Sound analytical and decision-making skills. Ability to interrogate financial reports including cash flows, balance sheets and audited accounts • Proven ability to influence and negotiate with internal and external stakeholders • Strong IT skills and with an ability to complete modelling analysis of financial data • Regularly demonstrates working within the the company’s Values framework
