A leading FMCG company is urgently seeking a Maintenance Technician for one of their most unique roles based in the Kildare area. The successful Maintenance Technician will work in there site in Kildare in respect of maintenance/service/repair and installation of a variety of equipment and will report directly to the operations manager.
Carry out schedule based maintenance work on equipment, buildings and services and repairs, overhauls and installations as appropriate. General maintenance and breakdown activities, resolving causes of defects for allocated area
Fault find mechanical and repair equipment in a breakdown situation. Deliver sufficient callout support and handovers to ensure reliability and performance of the plants machinery in line with agreed service levels.
Proactively identify and deal rectify potential equipment/services issues
Work with other functions as part of the manufacturing team to ensure efficient running of the equipment and prioritise work as agreed.
Apply modern maintenance techniques, to allow potential failures to be identified and eliminated or reduced as quickly as possible.
Liaising with suppliers overs diagnosing faults, ordering or sourcing replacement parts
Time served qualification in a Mechanical maintenance / engineering related discipline. Senior Trade /City & Guilds or equivalent Mechanical qualification
Experience servicing and repair of mechanical , electro mechanical and Pneumatic systems
Highly motivated , driven , proactive ,can do attitude.
Strong interpersonal skills who enjoys working in a team environment.
Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize workload and adapt to changing conditions while meeting deadlines.
Practical problem solving skills.
