A leading Medical Device manufacturer in Cork is seeking to add an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to it's high performing Maintenance team. On offer is a full time, permanent role with an attractive salary and benefits package. As a leading supplier of precision solutions they operate in a fast paced, highly regulated and highly automated environment. To succeed you will need to bring an Electrical Trade along with good fault finding skills, an ability to work well under pressure and a good mechanical skillset. About the Job:
  • Schedule and undertake periodic maintenance on all equipment, components, and installations, from weekly PM’s to Annual PM’s
  • Provide prompt response to inquiries whenever there is a breakdown, and resolve the issue as quickly as possible.
  • Carry out on-site audits of operator’s daily and weekly PM’s.
  • Electrical problem-solving and fault finding skills.
  • Installation of new electrical cabling, panels, containment, components, and fittings.
  • Recommend replacement for old or faulty assets/components or fittings to management
  • Assist in forecasting requirements & planned maintenance
  • Saturday shutdowns and works.
  • Keep record of all stock/supplies & re-order spare parts as required
  • Perform energy audit and recommend alternative sources of energy
  • Fix and maintain lighting fixtures and fittings
  • Facilitate and supervise external contractor on a range of different projects
  • Assist Calibration during equipment change overs, changing air pressure gauges etc.
  • Troubleshoot machine breakdowns and provide preventive maintenance services
  • Provide safe working environment for members of staff, and ensure electricity induced accidents and mishaps are prevented
  • Supervise electrical works when new projects are undertaken
  • Working with I.T on cabling, server cabinets and services
About You:
  • Electrical trade in manufacturing industry with 5-8 years’ experience, essential.
  • An ability to work well under pressure
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong mechanical background
  • Lean and TPM experience
  • Electrical problem-solving and fault finding skills
  • Working on small and large projects and meeting deadlines
  • Robotic experience
  • CNC experience
  • Pneumatic experience
  • AutoCAD
  • Good mechanical knowledge
