Purpose

Ensures Claims policies as well as regulatory requirements are adhered to. Collaborates with the Claims Governance team and ensures that the governance program and the corresponding control framework are sturdy.

Key Accountabilities

o Manage the oversight of claims and implement controls to meet the claims policy requirements. o Provides the Business Unit Reporting for Claims o Ensures Claims strategy by adapting methods to deliver an assessment of the key priorities of Business Unit plans. o Provides ownership of specific areas and initiatives as required by line management. o Maintaining and improving Business Unit claims governance strategic framework includes: Compliance with the Claims and Risk Policies - Large claims and risk reporting - Authority delegation o Preparing and coordinating papers for Legal Entity Boards and other committees (e.g. Risk & Audit Committees). o Works towards and delivers both personal and claims business objectives, supporting the delivery, accuracy, and timely reporting on the following key objectives: o Financial Effectiveness / Operational Efficiency / Compliance

Knowledge and Skills

• Experience working internationally would be an advantage. • Multi line and multi-jurisdictional experience • Possesses a high and extensive level of legal analysis and knowledge of product and industry • Excellent negotiation and communication skills - ability to present information and arguments in a clear and compelling way For more information on this or other insurance roles, contact James Reilly on [email protected] or 016621000
