Job Environment:

Working within a busy service and finance team of ten people, this role will involve liaising with people of all functions across the business as well as telephone interface with external customers.

Key responsibilities of Financial Accountant:

• Submission of monthly intercompany submission; • Monthly reconciliation of our key balance sheet accounts including Fixed Assets, Stock and LTA accrual account; • Preparation of monthly balance sheet lead schedules; • Submission of the balance sheet; • Preparation of our quarterly VAT return to revenue; • Provide financial and analytical support as required to finance manager and senior accountant as applicable; • Accounts Payable – Payment runs, account query resolution; • Account Receivable – contact between office and MGS for AR and EDI issues. • Responsibility for product costing and quarterly transfer pricing updates; • Preparation of the audit file at year end; • Responsibility for product costing and quarterly transfer pricing updates; • Reconciliation of Payroll, BIK monitoring, GACA, Pension Reconciliation (Irish Life & Mercer), P30 • Preparation of monthly management accounts for budget holders. • Business Continuity Management

Ideal person for this job:

A successful candidate must be ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified with at least three years of experience working in finance or accounting function. Previous experience with SAP is essential. This position requires someone who is assertive, organised and has a high attention to detail with a pleasant professional manner. The role involves liaison with other business units, Treasury Team and all budget holders in the business from every level including top management. Experience in month end reporting is important with internal control experience an advantage. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate good business acumen and will have excellent communication skills both verbally and in written communications and will be comfortable dealing with all levels of management within the business and with external customers, suppliers and teams from other businesses around Europe. • Core Competencies • Communication skills • Prioritisation skills • Functional technical skills (knowledge of SAP is advantageous) • Time Management
