Strategic Procurement & Supply Chain Manager

One of Ireland’s most reputable public bodies, based in Dublin, is currently looking to recruit a Strategic Procurement and Supply Chain Manager to work with their team to develop a robust strategic procurement function and to manage and operate this function to the highest standard. With numerous stakeholders in play, this will be a very active role for someone who is looking to create a department that operates efficiently and effectively.

Within this role you will be involved in

• Key strategic decision making related to procurement in line with the finance department • Internal client management • Manage the vendor selection process • Manage external supplier to ensure best practice supply • Manage negotiations with vendors/suppliers • Operational efficiencies across the supply chain function • Manage the interface between the client and the Office of Government Procurement and the Education Procurement Service, ensuring that information requirements are met on a timely basis • Manage the supply chain risk and improve sustainability across the function

For this role you are required to have;

• A min of 10 years procurement experience. • Experience in public procurement is essential for this role • Experienced working in a continuous improvement environment • A strategic thinker and experience in planning • Ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
