Front End Engineer

Due to continued growth, our client one of the leading Global Telecoms with a presence across all five continents are looking to recruit a creative and passionate Front-End Engineer. You will need to have previous experience in working with a team of front-end engineers, responsible for ensuring wireframes and design concepts are turned into high performing functional code across customer facing websites. The job will suit a strong standout individual with a focus on delivering a first-class service to customers. The team you will be working on is responsible for developing its websites and apps with a team of 45 people working across development, design, analytics, product management and operations. We are looking for front-end engineers to join the Digital team to work alongside the product, design and content teams to continually build and optimize the front-end platforms.

• You will build, optimise and maintain the front-end, ensuring the technical feasibility of UX/UI designs. • You will participate in discussions with team members and vendors about technical best practices and help teams identify optimal technical solutions. • You will collaborate with UX/UI designers, back-end developers and business stakeholders. • You will deliver best in class HTML5/CSS3/JavaScript front-end code across the different domains. • You will build, maintain and enhance the websites. • You will develop and test across multiple browsers, platforms, and devices, including smartphones and tablets. • You will deploy fully tested code to a production environment. • You will create personalised experiences to target different user types. • You will troubleshoot and provide root cause analysis of any production bugs and be responsible for the deployment of subsequent fixes. • You will optimize the websites for maximum speed and scalability. • You will be responsible for explaining the technical solutions to stakeholders at all levels of the Irish Business, from product owners to business stakeholders.


• 3 years’ experience in the development of dynamic, complex Front-End web solutions. • Excellent understanding of HTML/HTML5, CSS3 and CSS pre-processors (SASS), JSON, JavaScript. • Experience in responsive design and mobile web development. • Experience implementing enterprise level front-end solutions using REST. • Ability to write clean, commented, performant code. • Good problem solving and analytical skills. • Understanding of end-to-end and unit test frameworks • Knowledge of development patterns. • Experience with React JS is a plus. • Experience with Agile product development. • Experience working with an eCommerce platform is an advantage.
