Tax Manager - Aircraft Leasing

Our client is a major international financial services provider operating within the aircraft leasing sector. They are seeking to appoint a Tax Manager to join their Dublin tax team and play a key role supporting their internal aviation departments. This would be a great opportunity for anybody looking to move into the one of the most exciting areas of financial services and into a company with ambitious growth plans.

Main Duties:

• Manage the corporation tax, VAT and other tax compliance process for international entities across the EU. • Provide support in reviewing documentation for leases, sales and financings ensuring the most tax efficient structure is utilised in all aircraft transactions. • Participate in transactions as a junior member of the cross-functional deal team. • Research tax positions across different transactions, structures and jurisdictions and prepare and circulate findings. • Manage the relationship with external service providers and advisors. • Responsibility for monitoring and overseeing accurate completion and filing of all corporation tax, VAT and other tax compliance returns and tax payments. • Other ad hoc tax projects as they arise.

Requirements:

• CTA Qualified • 4+ years’ experience, ideally in a Big 4 tax advisory practice and/or in-house with an aircraft lessor. • Exposure to the aircraft leasing sector a distinct advantage. • Ability to execute and deliver within a highly regulated and fast paced international environment. • A motivated self-starter who works well both individually and as part of a team. • Well-developed capacity to juggle multiple deals, priorities and deadlines successfully. • Extremely organized with exceptional attention to detail and strong communication skills. • Excellent Excel skills.
