We are searching for a Compliance Manager for a 2nd Line of Defence role to work with a Life Insurance company, based in Dublin.

This role is wonderful chance to join a company who are competitively growing their Irish market. With new products and services coming in, this is a role for an ambitious person, ideally with a good knowledge of the Life and Pensions regulated space in Ireland. This position is based in Dublin but will be a remote working position during the Covid-19 restrictions, with options to work from home in the future. This is a brand new role that will be supporting the Head of Compliance directly in the 2nd Line of Defence with the Compliance monitoring and preparing the Compliance plan.

The role:

    • Supporting Head of Compliance in all monitoring activities and supporting the implementation of the Compliance plan • Horizon scanning for any changes to relevant legislation/regulations governing the Insurance industry • Supporting the wider business with responses to Compliance queries and Compliance training • Preparing Compliance reports for the board, Central Bank of Ireland inspections, and senior management team

Your Background

    • About 5 years’ experience in a 2nd Line Compliance function, ideally in Insurance • Good knowledge of Solvency II regulations and Fitness and Probity requirements • Strong communication and report writing ability with an appreciation for best-practice Compliance standards • Some experience in AML Compliance standards would be beneficial • Experience working in the Life and Pensions sector would be a strong advantage, but those with strong Compliance skills in other Financial Services sectors in Ireland are also encourages to apply
