IT Project Manager / PMO
Our client is a well-known international company within financial services. They have an immediate requirement for a candidate with both Project Management and PMO skills for a hybrid PM/PMO role. In this role you will manage a number of small IT projects while also working within the PMO. This is initially offered a s a6 month daily rate contract but could extend.
The Role:
• Successful implementation of small, or low/medium complexity local projects, sub-projects or phases of a larger project projects • Select appropriate processes required to meet the project objectives. • Adapt to and apply different delivery approaches (waterfall, Scrum, Lean) and perform, with appropriate support, project management processes to initiate, plan, execute, monitor and control as well as close a project in accordance with the Project Management Framework and the comp[any risk Risk Policy. • Comply with requirements to meet stakeholder needs and expectations. • Balance the competing constraints of scope, schedule, budget, quality, resources, and risk to produce the specified product, service, or result. • Support the sponsor in the setup of the project to ensure the business case is clearly defined (including estimates of required resources and funds) and relevant stakeholders are engaged as part of evaluating the preferred product solution. • Identify, define, combine, unify, and coordinate the various project management processes and activities within the Project Management Framework to evaluate the proposed delivery method and (tailored) project management artifacts to be applied based on the circumstances and nature of the project, to manage successful project outcomes. • Make choices about resource allocation, make trade-offs among competing objectives and alternatives, and manage the inter-dependencies among the project management areas to ensure project success. • Develop a detailed project plan at task level based on the agreed business case, manage and control project delivery in accordance with baseline parameters and standards (time, cost, quality) to drive project success. • Determine quality policies, objectives, and responsibilities so that the project will satisfy the needs for which it was undertaken and the project requirements, including product requirements, are met and validated. • Ensure timely and appropriate planning, collection, creation, distribution, storage, retrieval, management, control, monitoring, and the ultimate disposal of project information to enable effective decision making and ensure successful project outcomes. • Conduct risk management planning, identification, analysis, response planning, and controlling risk on a project to increase the likelihood and impact of positive events, and decrease the likelihood and impact of negative events in the project.
The ideal candidate will have:
• Bachelors degree (or equivalent) or 2 or more years of experience in related field • Experience delivering IT projects as well as PMO admin • Experience within Financial Services • Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) or equivalent For more information please contact
