Due to growth of their Irish business, they’re now looking for a talented senior compliance professional to join their Dublin based team.

About the opportunity

In this, senior, stand alone role you’ll play a key part in the regulatory oversight of the Irish funds business and will report directly to the country head of compliance. Responsibilities will be varied but the focus of the role will include: • Monitor and review company compliance frameworks ensuring they are fit for purpose and in line with relevant legislation • Provide business partnering advice to internal stakeholders on compliance issues and requirements • Implement new frameworks and procedures in line with regulatory changes as and when required • Prepare monthly and quarterly compliance review reports • Lead on going process improvements projects and enhancements as they pertain to the compliance division • Attend relevant governance and risk committees as required • Provide subject matter expertise to the wider business on product development as required

About you

To be successful in this role you will have spend significant time previously working for a fund manager where you will have build up your knowledge of both Irish and European legislation as it pertains to the fund management sector including MiFID and the Central Bank’s requirements. You’ll also have an excellent understanding of UCIT’s, other financial instruments including equities, cash, derivatives and exchange traded funds and the compliance requirements pertaining to their operation. In person you will be inquisitive, with a keen eye for detail and someone who works well on their own and part of a team. A natural communicator is also required due to the business partnering involved.
