Superb and rare opportunity to join leading reinsurance as a strategic business partner support to their MD. Great breadth of responsibilities to ensure the efficient day to day running of their Dublin HQ, covering preparatory work of board meetings, governance and approval processes for new business insurance transactions / governance and oversight of outsourced / vendor partner frameworks, regulatory projects etc.. This role will coordinate with first line managers, second line risk & compliance, and third line audit functions; a wide ranging role that would suit a highly organised individual who is capable of both hands on delivery and of managing and influencing a diverse range of stakeholders to achieve the business objectives.

Key responsibilities:

• Support the Managing Director in business development opportunities that arise in the branches and the governance and approval process for large transactions, new asset classes etc. • Manage the production of the Board and Committee papers in a timely manner for review by the Managing Director. • Act as Outsourced Service Owner with day-to-day responsibility for overseeing outsourcing providers and service • Provide reporting on the operation of outsourcing activities in a timely manner and in line with agreed SLAs • Works in support of the Managing Director to ensure appropriate financial objectives and targets are met. • Managing the relationship and all interactions with the Central Bank • Overseeing the governance of the third country branches (UK ASPAC region) • Managing the relationship with outsourced service providers (internal and external). • Ensure that the Company’s operations, standards and service requirements are monitored and met • Maintain the governance registers e.g. outsourcing registers, use of the Company seal and delegated authorities of the Board. • Oversee reinsurance treaty agreements, inter-company and third party contracts administration • Manage the company policy register, policy review dates and annual employee self-certification of policy review. • Own the company polices for outsourcing, related party transactions, corporate governance, fitness and probity and delegated Board authorities. • Work with compliance teams and policy owners to ensure policies are operating effectively, are up to date and regularly reviewed. • In line with Central Bank requirements maintain the Fitness and Probity due diligence documentation

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• BA or equivalent level of qualification. • Ideally 5 years’ experience in a similar role and comfortable operating at an executive level with the Board of Directors and Senior Executives • Experience in the insurance / reinsurance industry preferable • A working knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements
