 A successful cross-border insurance firm, part of a leading global insurance group, are hiring a Risk Specialist to join their Risk Management department. The successful candidate will work closely with the Risk Manager and Chief Risk Officer and will ideally have knowledge of the European Life Assurance Industry although not essential.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate the Internal Control Framework activities • Ongoing review and assessment of the Risk and Control Self-Assessment across the business • Issue management and remediation. • Quarterly control testing • Intermediary Management - Onboarding Assessments, including due diligence activities and engagement with Legal & Compliance, as required • Risk incident Reporting - coordination and management of the monthly Risk Champion meetings and updates • Governance reporting on data quality and risk incidents • Coordination and reporting of all remediation actions and escalation to revenant management of overdue actions • Assist in the preparation of a number of Regulatory documents including ORSA, Recovery Plans, SFCR and RSR • Risk Management – embed the internal regulations framework • Thematic Reviews and Risk Identification and Evaluation: Implementing the company’s methodology, which identifies, classifies and evaluates key risks • Assist the Chief Risk Officer in the implementation of Solvency II by embedding the enterprise risk management framework within the company. • Risk reporting - effective reporting of the risk profile and risk exposures of the company, both to internal and external stakeholders

Requirements:

• ACCA/ACA/CIMA qualified • People management and leadership experience is essential for this role. • You will have either a risk management, compliance or financial background • Relevant experience in regulatory reporting and preparing high quality reports. • Regulatory reporting experience under Solvency II is preferred.
