We are seeking an Field Sales Executive with a specific emphasis on developing long term relationships in the logistics industry. The Role

Working in conjunction with the existing sales team, your will be responsible for the revenue generated from a geographically assigned sales territory (or business portfolio), by servicing and retaining existing customers and targeting at new business opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Make personal sales visits to both existing and prospective customers to maintain customers and subsequently gain business
  • Build revenue streams with current customers and evaluate opportunities to uncover new business within aligned territory
  • Ensure all customers are contacted through a customer contact management approach that is consistent with our standards across field sales.
  • Conversion of qualified leads into customers (First time buyers), develop and penetrate existing accounts.
  • Make decisions during negotiations with customers related to volume and discount levels as well as additional services offered –in line with Global Standard Sales Procedures
  • Evaluate customers’ needs and build strong relationships with customers
  • Develop a well-qualified opportunity pipeline, maintain accurate details on our CRM system, delivering accurate sales forecasts and winning new business
  • Ensure revenue forecast is achieved with positive RPD growth YOY
  • Complete all reporting requirements as required by Head of Field Sales
  • Identify customer potential and create development leads within the portfolio.
  • Act as the customers’ main point of contact, by liaising closely with the relevant departments to ensure that their queries, problems or issues are dealt with appropriately.
  • The Candidate:

  • Two years previous sales experience required ideally in a logistics environment
  • Qualification in Business Studies or Sales is a distinct advantage
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong commercial acumen
  • Strong Influencing and negotiating skills
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills
  • Excellent understanding of customer needs
  • Full clean driving license (minimum 1 year)
