Join a leading professional services firm’s Privately-Owned Business team as an Audit Director, working alongside experienced Partners and senior leaders on a portfolio of privately owned audit clients (typically €10m–€250m turnover) across a broad range of commercial sectors. This role offers the chance to shape client relationships, lead high-quality audit delivery, and develop high-performing teams in a growing environment.
About the Position
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop client relationships in partnership with the senior management team
- Oversee audit quality and consistency of approach, supported by a global audit methodology and platform
- Manage a portfolio of audit engagements, balancing client service with targeted recovery and effective resourcing
- Track performance against collective departmental measures (including billing, fee income, cash collection) and personal/firm goals
- Mentor, train, and support managers and senior team members, helping them progress and perform at their best
- Contribute to advisory work, including:
- Strategic business planning
- Technical accounting for acquisitions and structural changes
- Accounting framework transitions
- Collaboration with Financial Advisory and Tax colleagues
Key Requirements
- Qualified Accountant with a minimum of 5 years PQE
- Experience in a medium or large practice environment
- Proven ability to build and grow client relationships
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal) and the ability to deliver to deadlines
- Demonstrated experience managing and coaching senior team members
Nice-to-have
- Experience working directly on advisory projects alongside audit delivery
- Strong strategic thinking and business acumen
