Founded in 1998 under the tag line "The Best in Ireland", Brightwater Selection (Ireland) Limited set up with an absolute commitment to excellence. A Recruitment Consultancy, not an agency.
Started in a small office in O'Connell Street, Dublin 1 in 2000, the company moved into two floors of a Georgian building on Merrion Square. Over the next 6 years, Brightwater took over the rest of the building, establishing without doubt, one of the biggest and most respected recruitment brands in the country.
Originally specialising in accountancy, Brightwater responded to our clients' needs by extending our professional service offering to eventually cover 14 disciplines. In 2005, Brightwater then set up an Office division with exactly the same philosophy as our other brands...the best in Ireland. In 2001, we established a boutique office in Belfast to cover the fledgling professional services market in Northern Ireland. In 2005, the company set up an office in Cork to service the Munster and Connacht regions and in 2012, we established an Executive arm.
From 1998 to 2009, the company grew remarkably, winning multiple awards for Customer Service and as one of the best companies to work for in Ireland and in Europe. Always profitable, the company grew to sales of over €18 million. While the recession in 2009 certainly represented a significant challenge for Brightwater and the recruitment industry as a whole, we remained uniquely placed to confirm ourselves as a brand leader. We appeared regularly on television and radio discussing employment issues and had a weekly slot on TV3's Ireland AM for the morning Jobs Club. We were also involved in the final interview panel of the popular TV programme "The Apprentice" from 2009 to 2011.
Having such a respected brand is a unique asset. The company has been profitable every year bar 2009 and is in an outstanding position to continue its growth nationally and internationally. Quite a lot has changed in the last two decades at the Brightwater Group and we continue to grow in response to and in anticipation of our clients' needs.
