Brightwater Group was honoured in the annual national awards presented by the National Recruitment Federation at a ceremony in Dublin last week.
The Brightwater Group business was one of eighteen big winners of the night, awarded Large Recruitment Agency of the Year 2019.
The prestigious award was welcomed by Barbara McGrath Managing Director who said that full employment, Brexit, and global economic challenge has made 2019 a particularly testing year in Irish recruitment.
“For decades, Ireland’s talent pool has drawn in international operators and supported the growth of strong industries. In resourcing vibrant sectors, with qualified and committed people, the recruitment industry plays a big part in
the success of its clients and in Ireland’s overall economic progress”, McGrath said.
Accepting the award, Barbara McGrath of Brightwater Group said the leading firm was delighted its track record in recruitment excellence has been recognised by industry peers.
“While our focus is on meeting clients’ recruitment needs and ensuring the candidates we place are well-represented, it is nonetheless satisfying that our team is acknowledged like this for excellence in how we go about our business”,
McGrath said.
Congratulating Brightwater Donal O’Donoghue President of the National Recruitment Federation, said that recruiters know the value of reward and recognition probably more than most.

Recruitment Federation President said.
The 13th annual National Recruitment Federation Awards were presented at a gala ceremony in The Shelbourne Hotel in Dublin, hosted by Dragons' Den investor Gavin Duffy and attended by 300 industry personnel.
It is a universal truth that the businesses that thrive and prosper generally do so on account of the calibre of their people, Gavin Duffy told the audience.
“People are critical to success, and have much more to give a business than they will normally receive. So, the people who help find the right people for your business provide an invaluable service that cannot be underestimated”, Duffy
said of the recruitment profession.
The annual NRF awards is run in association with LinkedIn, Recruit Ireland.com and the Irish Independent. There were over 200 entries from recruitment companies countrywide evaluated by this year’s adjudication panel, which comprised senior
industry figures from Ireland and the UK as well as academics.
The NRF is a voluntary organisation set up to establish and maintain standards and codes of practice for the recruitment industry. Representing member companies throughout Ireland, the NRF focuses on standards initiatives including training, communications
support, lobbying, advice and problem solving.
