Senior Practice Accountant (Hybrid/West Cork)

Our client is an established accounting firm located 40 mins West of Cork City. They are currently recruiting for an experienced practice accounting professional to join the team. This is a key role for the firm and the successful candidate will ideally be a qualified accountant, comfortable with all aspects of a small accounting firm and particularly with large audit projects. Hybrid working is available with this opportunity, the firm is very flexible around remote working. A 4-day week will also be considered.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Preparing audit and audit exempt files for key clients.
  • Ensuring all audit/audit exempt files are compliant with accounting standards.
  • Preparation of financial statements for partner discussion/client approval
  • Preparing and reviewing monthly payrolls and VAT returns.
  • Preparing Corporation Tax returns and CRO returns.
  • Preparing sole trader accounts and Income Tax returns.
  • Managing CRO and revenue filing deadlines.
  • Managing project allocations for all staff members.
  • Managing staff technical and accounting queries.
Criteria:
  • Qualified Or Part Qualified Accountant.
  • 3 to 5 years’ min experience working in an accounting/ audit practice.
  • Living within 60 minutes of the office location in West Cork - ideally. 
  • Eligible to work in Ireland on a permanent basis.
Remuneration Package €45,000-€50,000 plus Benefits.
