About the Company

My client, based in Dundalk Co. Louth, is a well-known, large and progressive Accountancy practice that is continuing to grow its team in the outsourcing department. They provide a range of services including Audit, tax and advisory to a diverse and interesting client base compromising both national and international clients.


 

About the Position

This an opportunity for a qualified accountant who wants a client facing role in practice with the opportunity to work directly with the partners of the firm. This role, which is part of their Business Outsource Service team will allow the individual to get broad exposure across a large portfolio of clients. The role involves a diverse portfolio of clients and client engagement and across a broad range of sectors.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • To manage and control the running of a defined and growing block of clients and report thereon to the partners. 
  • Preparing annual financial statements.
  • Preparing and interpreting cashflows and projections.
  • Preparing management accounts and liaising directly with clients.
  • Working with a varied client base including publicly funded clients, commercial limited companies and partnerships all offering regular new challenges.
  • High level, up-to-date technical knowledge required.
  • Planning and controlling own work with minimum supervision.
  • Assisting with the supervision and training of junior staff.
  • Assisting in keeping the firm compliant and up to date on company legislation, filing and reporting requirements to include assistance with CPD.
  • Accounts preparation for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.
  • Preparation for personal & corporation tax returns
  • Self-Assessment for self-employed, company directors and high net worth clients.
  • Ability to communicate financial information to non-finance professionals.
  • Supervise a team of accounts and train staff as appropriate.
  • Lease with Revenue and HMRC on behalf of clients.

Experience/Requirements

  • Qualified Accountant.
  • Practice trained.
  • Experienced using Bright, Xero, Sage or Quickbooks.
  • Microsoft Office.
  • 3-4 Years experience in a similar practice role
 

Remuneration Package

  • Salary €55,000-€60,000.
  • Staff Pension Scheme.
  • Additional annual leave based on service.
  • Health Insurance.
