Financial Risk Analyst

About the Company

A Dublin based Life insurance company is now seeking an experienced Financial Risk Management Analyst to join their growing team

About the Position

The right professional for this role will have experience in FRM as they will report directly to the Financial Risk Manager. You will be responsible for risk monitoring, modelling & analysis related to the hedging and investment strategy. As well as this you will support the wider senior team in developing risk monitoring tools including enhancement of the Risk Management Framework.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for financial risk management (2nd line of defense)
  • Managing counter party credit and liquidity risk management 
  • Perform financial analysis on the assets of the hedging strategy
  • Work on development projects with regard to pricing and FRM tools
  • Develop hedging and investment strategies on the basis of quantitative analysis.

Experience/Requirements

  • Ideally 3 years experience in a similar role, the right candidate will come from a previous insurer with knowledge of FRM surrounding various insurance products 
  • Have a qualification in/or working on FRM / CFA 
  • Experience conducting derivative’s pricing, VaR and stress testing.
  • Knowledge of Solvency II
  • VBA
