About the Company

The purpose of this job is to serve as a member of the Engineering group within the client environment to support their technical  tasks, to work to the highest standards in terms of quality and professionalism.

Shift work is required at the moment, working hours are 5am – 1.30pm (weekdays) and weekends 5am – 10am. 

Normal day hours 8.30am - 5pm is due to return within the next six months. 

Excellent shift allowance of 20% which will carry on after working hours change since some weekend is still required. 

Please see 3 week shift work pattern: 

Shift 1 – Tuesday-Friday, Sat (Monday, Sunday off)

Shift 2 – Monday – Friday (weekend off)

Shift 3 – Monday – Thursday, Sun (Friday, Saturday off)

About the Position

In this role you will perform quality sampling and sample management activities for pharmaceutical water systems.

You will regularly liaise with Engineering, Operations and Laboratory personnel on sampling scheduling and execution.
Managing sample storage and delivery in accordance with procedures will be a regular activity in this role.

You will also take part in reporting issues with water systems, environment, sample-points or consumables which have the potential to impact sample quality as well as support sample alert and action limit investigations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Raise reports as required, including safety.
  • Complete tasks with emphasis on safety, with reporting of, and following up on, safety items.
  • This person will be responsible for providing assistance for other members of staff as required.
  • This person will ensure that all required documentation is completed on time, accurately and legibly.
  • Responsible for adhering to all company standards in the areas of safety, housekeeping and quality, notifying management of any discrepancies.
  • As with all members of staff this person is responsible for ensuring that customers’ requirements are fully met and in so doing will be flexible to work in any area of the business as is required.

Experience/Requirements

  • Minimum of degree level in Microbiology or equivalent  
  • Minimum of 6 months relevant industry based experience preferable (dependant on qualifications)
  • Knowledge of cGMPs
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Successful track record in achieving goals as part of a team within a growing, dynamic environment
  • Good understanding of requirements for working in a GMP environment.
  • Ability to work in a lab environment with some supervision and be capable of developing solutions to problems as part of a team.
  • Passionate about quality and customer service.
