Health & Safety Specialist – IMS and Systems

About the Company

We are currently looking to recruit a Health & Safety specialist to work on some exciting projects with across the renewable energy, power and utilities sectors in Ireland. This client is a household name in engineering, and they require someone who has had experience in Health & Safety Systems at a high level, but also someone who is able to work alongside the client to ensure safety is paramount on all projects. You will be responsible for systems and information management related to health & safety procedures and to the continued support of Health & Safety function on site. H&S is a focus for this company and the management and adherence to these functions is paramount. This individual with be the systems specialist in the management and documentations of these procedures.

About the Position

• Working across numerous projects to provide H&S functionality.
• Focus on systems management.
• Roll out of H&S functions across the group.
• Provide expertise in Health & Safety legislation (H&S)
• Educate people in the benefits of a strong health & safety policy.
• Health & Safety Audits
• Support GNI operations teams in safe delivery of OPEX (Operations) programs.
• Detailed assessment and documentation across cost, risk, performance
• Performance management across the business unit and ensuring that best practice is adhered to in all Health & Safety matters.  

Experience/Requirements 

• 4 years’ experience in a Health & Safety role.
• A related qualification in H&S, IOSH etc.
• Knowledge of safety legislation
• Experienced in managing systems for the monitoring of health & safety.
• Experience on site and have the ability to bring people along in relation to H&S
• A positive attitude and the excellent work ethic.
• The ability to manage your own schedule.
• People management skills.
