About the Company
Our client, a leading health services business are looking to hire an Accounting Manager on a 12 month FTC to join their team based in Letterkenny, Co. Donegal. This role will offer a hybrid working model.
About the Position
Key Responsibilities
Manage the preparation of legal entity financial statements for multiple entities in accordance with IFRS/US GAAP.
Provide operational and technical accounting expertise to ensure compliance with GAAP, company policies and legislation.
Account for equity transactions in accordance with technical accounting guidance and legal documentation.
Preparation of business valuations, impairment reviews and board of director’s pack.
Ensure accurate and timely adoption of new accounting standards.
Maintain an internal control structure and procedures for financial reporting.
Manage and support audit, compliance and regulatory reporting requirements.
Proactively analyse financial data to identify and address potential accounting issues on an ongoing basis, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and IFRS.
Solve complex accounting problems and develop innovative solutions using lean operations to increase productivity with the use of automation and technology.
Capabilities
Demonstrate an understanding of the difference between Management and Statutory Reporting within a complex organization.
Demonstrate an understanding of intercompany relationships and organizational structures (e.g., segments, legal entities) required to record intercompany transactions, intersegment transactions and cost allocations.
Experience successfully managing multiple requests, assessing priorities and meeting deliverables under tight deadlines.
Advanced analytical and information gathering skills; ability to evaluate and prioritize extensive detailed data.
Experience/Requirements
Fully Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA, CIMA)
Extensive post qualification experience (4+ years) ideally within a multinational environment
Working knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS
Expert level of proficiency with Excel, Word, and other financial reporting tools
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience with PeopleSoft Financial an advantage
Remuneration Package
€65,000 - €75,000 (annual equivalent depending on experience)
