EAP Counsellor
About the Company
Join a dynamic team and make a meaningful impact as an EAP Telephone Counsellor with our client, a leading information and technology-enabled health services business. This is a full time permanent opportunity that allows you to contribute to the well-being of individuals through telephonic assessment and solution-focused consultation. This role will require working a rotating schedule of mornings, evenings and nightshifts.
About the Position
- 39h working week
- Choice of working either Mon-Friday or Wed-Sunday weeks.
- Accredited and Pre Accredited Members welcome to apply (must have completed minimum of 200 hours)
- Hybrid: This role will require minimum of 2-3 days per week onsite, with remaining working from home. This will only apply to Mon-Friday day shifts. Weekends and nightshifts will be worked fully remotely.
Key Responsibilities
- Client-Centric Approach: Answer inbound EAP and behavioral calls, offering appropriate responses to identify and address client or corporate risk.
- Assessment Expertise: Conduct telephone assessments, provide one-off support calls, and refer individuals to other services as needed.
- Triage Mastery: Assess risks and link individuals to the appropriate levels of care, ensuring a tailored and effective response.
- Documentation: Record brief clinical notes, use work queues, and maintain call diaries to ensure a seamless service experience.
- Collaborative Teamwork: Work closely with all Service Centre teams to determine member eligibility and benefit coverage, contributing to a cohesive and supportive work environment.
Experience/Requirements
- Hold a minimum of a Level 8 / Bachelors Degree in Counselling or equivalent
- Hold accreditation to a recognised counselling and/or psychotherapy governing body, fulfilling all supervised hours requirements. We will also accept pre-accredited members with 200+hours completed.
- Registered membership with a professional association such as BACP or equivalent.
- Previous telephone/video counselling experience.
- Strong risk assessment skills with regards to Child Welfare/Safety concerns, Suicide/Self-Harm, etc.
- Good clinical judgement and understanding of your responsibilities regarding confidentiality; strong work ethic and professionalism.
- Excellent communication, problem solving, collaboration, cultural competency, interpersonal, self-care, time management and organizational skills.
- Computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, MS Teams, SoftPhone etc.).
Remuneration Package
The salary for this role is €54,000 per annum.
