Role Overview
Our client a leading city centre-based organisation in the energy sector are looking for a Finance Manager who can step into a high-impact role within a dynamic finance leadership team. This role goes beyond reporting it's about shaping the way finance supports strategic decisions, driving performance across the business, and leading a shift from traditional finance operations to a value-led partnership model.
You’ll be managing financial performance across multiple business lines, helping to transform how information is used across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
Take ownership of financial reporting and gross margin analysis for a portfolio with cost of sales across varied business units
Lead and develop a team of finance professionals, ensuring a high-performance culture that supports both technical excellence and commercial thinking
Redesign and streamline core finance processes with an emphasis on automation, insight generation, and forward-looking analysis
Produce monthly management accounts with meaningful commentary, working closely with commercial teams to understand the story behind the numbers
Maintain and improve financial controls and governance, ensuring data integrity and risk management across all reporting outputs
Support budgeting, forecasting, and business planning activities with detailed variance analysis and performance insights
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to inform decision-making and align financial plans with operational priorities
Key Skills Required
Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
Strong post-qualification experience in a complex or fast-moving business environment
Experience managing and mentoring finance teams, with a track record of developing talent
Strong business acumen and the ability to communicate financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders
Ability to balance high-level analysis with attention to detail
Skilled in Excel, experience in SAP/Power
Package:
Salary €90,000 €110,000 (doe)
