Data Architecture and Integration Manager

My client is a leading academic and research institution based in Dublin.

About the Position

This is a full time, Permanent position in Dublin. It is a Hybrid role (3 days on site per week). This is a strategic leadership position, responsible for driving the organisation’s enterprise data architecture and integrations strategy. You will lead a skilled team of data professionals and manage modern integration platforms (including Boomi), helping the organisation become more data-informed, innovative, and prepared for AI adoption.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and lead the enterprise data strategy and target-state architecture

  • Develop scalable, secure cloud-based data platforms to support innovation, AI, and advanced analytics

  • Establish and maintain enterprise data models, metadata standards, integration patterns, and architecture governance

  • Manage and evolve middleware and integration solutions to ensure seamless, secure system interoperability

  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders to deliver practical, value-aligned data solutions

  • Enable analytics, reporting, and AI initiatives through robust data modelling and infrastructure

  • Lead and mentor a high-performing data team, promoting collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement

  • Represent the digital and technology function in organisation-wide programmes and external data communities

Experience/Requirements

  • Degree (NFQ Level 7 or above) in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or a related field

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in enterprise data architecture, systems integration, or similar roles within complex organisations

  • Expertise with integration platforms (e.g., Boomi, MuleSoft, Azure Logic Apps) and enterprise data architecture design

  • Strong knowledge of cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP), APIs, and modern data paradigms (e.g., lakehouse, data mesh)

  • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills

  • A postgraduate qualification and hands-on experience with tools like Python, SQL, Power BI, or MS Fabric are advantageous

Remuneration Package

Salary Range: €68,475 – €110,034
