About the Position
Our client a leading financial services institution are recruiting a finance and governance specialist within their team which provides operational risk oversight, analysis and assurance on the quality and effectiveness of the risk environment. This will suit a recently qualified Accountant/Auditor with 2years+ experience in audit, assurance, or risk ideally within the financial services sector.
Key Responsibilities

Deliver the first line of defense assurance plan.

Manage delivery of governance activities at both Half Year & Year End reporting periods on behalf of the CFO.

Deliver finance obligations at Operational Risk & First Line Assurance Governance Working Groups

Perform end to end assurance reviews - reference (scope), test plans and final reports.

Communicate potential issues and support business units in developing action plans to address potential control weaknesses.

Keep abreast of best practices and assurance developments throughout the company.
Experience/Requirements
-
Recently Qualified Accountant /Finalist (ACCA/ACA/CPA/CIMA)
-
Risk/Assurance/Audit background with 2-3 years’ experience in practice or industry.

Financial Services industry experience preferred.

Strong communication, influencing and negotiation skills.

Ability to multi-task, take initiative and work to deadlines.
Remuneration Package
€60,000 - €65,000
