Angular Developer
6 Month Daily Rate Contract (hybrid role) Dublin, 3 Days per week on site

Our client is a leading financial services company based in South Dublin.
About the Position
We are seeking an experienced Senior Angular Developer to join a dynamic and fast-growing development team. This role involves designing and delivering high-quality, responsive user interfaces for complex web applications. You will combine strong Angular expertise with a solid grasp of modern UI/UX principles, working collaboratively in an Agile/Scrum environment alongside product owners, designers, backend engineers, and QA specialists.
Industry experience in banking or financial services—particularly with systems involving complex workflows, regulatory compliance, or high security standards—is highly advantageous.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain web applications using Angular.
- Collaborate with backend teams to integrate RESTful APIs and ensure seamless data flow.
- Build responsive UI components using HTML5, CSS3/SASS, TypeScript, and modern JavaScript.
- Validate the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs and propose improvements where necessary.
- Maintain code quality through unit testing, code reviews, and adherence to best practices.
- Contribute to Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives.
Experience/Requirements
- 7–10 years’ overall software development experience, with 4–5+ years in Angular development.
- Expertise in Angular (v15+ preferred), TypeScript, RxJS, and component-based architecture.
- Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3/SASS/LESS, and responsive design principles.
- Proven experience working with RESTful APIs.
- Proficiency with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Solid understanding of cross-browser compatibility considerations.
- Familiarity with modern front-end build tools (e.g., Webpack, npm, Angular CLI).
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams.
Desirable Skills
- Background in the banking or financial services sector, especially in high-availability or compliance-driven systems.
- Experience with unit testing frameworks (e.g., Jasmine, Karma).
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.
- Knowledge of accessibility standards and performance optimisation techniques.
- Experience with UI component libraries such as AG Grid or PrimeNG.
- Previous mentoring or team leadership experience.
