Own and execute the physical implementation process from floorplanning through to GDSII for complex, high-performance designs targeting aggressive power, performance, and area (PPA) goals.

Contribute to the development of innovative methodologies to improve PPA outcomes, including scripting and automation of design flows.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure physical design aligns with logical and architectural requirements, timing constraints, and power optimisation goals.

Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices to continuously improve internal processes and methodologies.

Use advanced statistical and analytical techniques to benchmark performance and identify design or process improvements.

Work closely with other design teams to coordinate key PPA improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with the highest design standards.

Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience in Physical Design.

Strong knowledge of the full physical design flow from netlist to GDS (including floorplanning, power planning, placement, CTS, routing, and optimisation).

Proficiency with EDA tools and methodologies used in advanced technology nodes (10nm and below).

Deep understanding of static timing analysis (STA), timing closure strategies, and their impact on congestion, routing, and power.

Experience in power analysis and integrity checks.

Familiarity with physical verification processes and DRC/LVS closure.

Strong scripting skills in Perl and TCL for flow automation and tool customisation.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a proven ability to work in cross-functional teams.
